Clyde D. Kerlin

Clyde D. Kerlin, 81, Knobsville Road, McConnellsburg, PA died at 2:50 PM, Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Arista Care at Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.

Born March 17, 1936 in Todd Township, Fulton County, he was the son of the late Alvin and Patience "Nettie" (Naugle) Kerlin. He was married to Judy A. Keebaugh on September 22, 1956.  She preceded in death on April 9, 2014.

There are seven children: Saundra Mellott, McConnellsburg, PA; Cathy Saylor, Hustontown, PA; Cindy Naugle, McConnellsburg, PA; Donna Farrell, Fort Littleton, PA; and Steven Kerlin, Christine Mellott and Kimberly Jones, all of McConnellsburg, PA.

There are 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. One great granddaughter and one great grandson are deceased.

Three brothers and two sisters preceded in death.
 
During his life he worked as a civil engineer and a mechanic and was a dedicated gunsmith.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his late wife and his family.  

Mr. Kerlin was an avid Christian, preaching at a number of churches throughout his career. He was well-known throughout the community for his positive Christian outlook on life.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Hustontown Cemetery, Hustontown, PA.
