George A. Kanfer, 93, of Dingmans Ferry, PA passed away at home on Friday, December 21, 2018. He worked as a Foreman for the Department of Sanitation for the City of New York and also worked for the Pike County Area Agency on Aging.

George was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Dingmans Ferry, PA, member of the Peerless Lodge # 195 in Manhattan, NY, member of the American Legion Post 914 in Manhattan, NY and member of the 215 Coast Guard Auxiliary in Philadelphia, PA.

George was a recipient of Four Chapters Legion of Honor Award and a United States Coast Guard Veteran.

The son of the late George and Jeanette (Read) Kanfer, he was born on July 9, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY. He was married to Marion Myck who preceded him in death in 2008.

George leaves behind his daughter, Judy Loglisci of Staten Island, NY; grandchildren, Tracey DiVilio, Joseph, Scott and Keri-Anne Loglisci and great-grandchildren, Paul, Jessica, Joseph, Deanna, Kaitlin, Michael, Mason and Myles. George was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Kanfer.

Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, PA on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Thursday. December 27, 2018 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Dingmans Ferry, PA.
