Johnson, Sr., Cleveland Obituary

Cleveland Johnson departed this life on December 18, 2012 at the Washington Hospital Center.  He was born in Fayetteville, NC to the late Willie and Nannie Johnson.  He attended public school in Fayetteville.  He moved to Washington, D.C. in 1957.  He worked for Embassy Dairy for 6 years and Safeway for 32 years as a truck driver.

Brother Johnson loved fishing, baseball, car racing and most of all the Washington Redskins.  He was a die-hard Redskins fan.  He was a man who never complained whatever you ask him to do he would do it.  If you ask him how are you doing he would respond by saying "I am walking slow and drinking ice water."

Brother Johnson was a charter member of MMBC for 16 years.  He was very active in the Church.  He served as Church Treasurer, a Trustee, Usher, Men's Ministry, Male Chorus, Church Custodian, and drove the Church Van.  He loved his Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son Junior Johnson (Lisa) of Washington, D.C.; one daughter Evangelist Isoline Jones (Dwayne) of Clinton, MD; one sister Odessa Shaw of Fayetteville; 4 grandchildren Clesh'a K. Johnson, Taleda B. Johnson, Tamica N. Jones, Sharmaire D. Jones; and many nieces of nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
