Reuben C. “G-Man” Jennings, Jr., 75, of Bentonville, Virginia, died peacefully on Saturday, July 14, 2012, surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren at Warren Memorial Hospital.

He was born on November 3, 1936, in Warren County and was the son of the late Reuben C. and Pearl P. Jennings.

On February 9th, 1957, he married his one true love, Juanita Laing, whom preceded him in death on March 2, 2003.

He leaves behind his children, whom he loved and cherished: Vickie Kenney and her husband Ronnie, Bobby Jennings and his wife Lou, and Brenda Atkins and her husband Robbie, all of Bentonville.

He was adored by his grandchildren Adrienne Wooddell and her husband Steve, Jason Kenney and his wife Kelly, Jennifer Atkins, Ashley Wood and her husband Daniel, and Justin Jennings.  He was also a proud great-grandfather to Lane, Brenlynn, and Emma.

He will be greatly missed by his lifelong friend Dickie Thompson.

He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was always available to share his wisdom and his stories.  He loved farming and visiting with his friends and family on his front porch.  He was employed by FMC and Avtex for over 30 years.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home (map/directions) conducted by The Rev. William Wood. Private burial will be held at the Jennings Family Cemetery in Bentonville, Virginia. The family will receive friends on Wednesday 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Kenney, Rick Mathews, David Lang, Dennis Elliott, Brad Fletcher, Johnny Seal, Wayne Mathews, and Ronnie Jennings.

He is survived by two brothers, Phillip and Terry.
