Sarah T. Honesty
March 15, 2013
Peacefully, on March 15, 2013, entered into eternal rest in the presence of family members at her home in Washington, DC. She was the widow of Paul Honesty and had no children.
She was born on November 21, 1915 in the “Foggy Bottom” area of the City. She was educated in the D.C. Public Schools and attended Briggs and Stevens elementary; Francis Jr. High, and Dunbar High School. She completed her education at Minor Teacher’s College where she received a B.A. in Elementary Education. Her brother, John F. Tatum; her sister, Nancy Tatum Bradley; and many nieces, nephews, and grand and great-grand nieces and nephews, and the many friends to whom she was affectionally known as “Aunt Sarah”, survive her.
