Frank P. Hart, 89 of Matamoras Pa passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Place, Port Jervis, NY. He was a retired Lieutenant for the New York City Police Department and Deputy Sheriff for Pike County, Pa. Frank was a member of the St. Joseph’s Church, Matamoras, Pa, Holy Name Society, Emerald Society, Life member of Catholic War Veterans, Knights of Columbus John Paul II Council # 13935, Milford, PA and the Mountain Laurel VFW Post # 8612, Milford, Pa.  He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII and Korean Conflict.

The son of the late Francis P. and Katherine (O’Brien) Hart he was born January 12, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY. He was married to Grace Pat (Marr) Hart.

Frank leaves behind his wife Pat; five children, Patricia Renzo and her husband, Salvatore of Woodmere NY, Theresa Yackel and her husband Robert of Scotchtown, NY; Frank Hart and his wife Melissa of Hyde Park, NY, Daniel Hart and his wife Catherine of Jeffersonville, NY, and Michael Hart and his wife Diana of Matamoras, Pa.; brother Joseph Hart and his wife Dorothy of Sparta, NJ; twelve grandchildren;  Kristen and her husband Brian, Kenneth, Michael and his wife Jennifer, Joseph, Kara and her fiancée Matthew, Kevin, Sean, Kevin, Caroline, Bridget, Maria, and Clare; two great grandchildren Kaitlyn and Matthew. He was predeceased by two brothers Daniel Hart and William Hart and two sisters Catherine (Hart) Hall and Mary Hart.

Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, Pa on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Matamoras, Pa on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11 AM with Rev. Joseph Manarchuck officiating. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township, Pa.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Parkinson’s research, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, (www.stjude.org) or to a charity of ones choice.
