Angela Vondale Guy

Angela Vondale Guy entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at her home in Northeast Washington, DC. She was born on November 23, 1971 to Thelma Jean Guy and the late Waides “Stinky”Ashmon in Washington, DC. Angela was affectionately known as Angie to her family and friends.   Angie attended Public Schools in the District of Columbia; J.O. Wilson Elementary, Terrell Junior High School, Martha Washington Vocational School and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1989.   All who knew Angie knew she was a gift from GOD. The things she would do for others came with no limit. Her smile and laughter would light up the world. She was the softest, toughest person to ever walk this Earth. She was the person you look forward to seeing at every event. If you got on her nerves her favorite saying was “Go Head”. Angie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her family and friends dearly. She loved to cook and host holiday gatherings. Not only would she open her doors to those that were in need of shelter she wouldn’t hesitate to give someone the shirt off her back.   Angie was preceded in death by her father Waides Ashmon, two brothers; Tyrone Guy and Clarence“Monkey Feet” Guy.   Angie is survived by her mother, Thelma Jean Guy; children, Roland Williams, Marketa Guy and Deangelo Brown; grandchildren, Marques Guy, Alonzo Williams and Crystal Guy; siblings, Marvin “Man Man” Blunt (Lawann), Curtis “Fatso” Guy, Arthur “Cutty” Green Jr. (Laquita), Dahmellissa “Mellissa” Green, Tanina Ashmon, Waides “Curly” Ashmon, Duane “Boxcar” Ashmon and Quinton Ashmon.   Her special friend Alice “Sabrina” Trice and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
