Ruth D. "Dot" Gutshall

Ruth D. "Dot" Gutshall, 84, of Orbisonia, PA, died Monday, April 21, 2014 at J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, PA.

Born October 10, 1929 in Tell Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late Meade & Della (Clark) Parsons. She was married to George F. Gutshall on December 25, 1946. Mr. Gutshall preceded in death November 12, 2011.

Surviving are two children, Fred N. Gutshall and his wife Carol of Martinsburg, PA and Colleen Smoyer of Chambersburg, PA. Also surviving are four grandsons, Matthew Smoyer, Michael Smoyer, Cody Gutshall and Christopher Gutshall and seven great grandchildren. One sister, Jean Cramer, preceded in death.

Mrs. Gutshall was a member of the Orbisonia United Methodist Church and the Hollidaysburg Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

During her life she was mainly a homemaker and had operated a beauty shop in her earlier years.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
