Edward D. Gracey, 81, of Hoover Road, Waterfall, PA, died at 8:30 PM, Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Altoona, PA.

âBorn February 8, 1934 at New Grenada, PA, he was a son of the late Raymond & Velma (Henry) Gracey. He was married to the former Shirley L. Hann on October 2, 1953 at Hancock, MD. Mrs. Gracey survives at their home.

âAlso surviving are three children, James M. Gracey and his wife Debbie of Greencastle, PA, Edward W. Gracey and his wife Kathy of McConnellsburg, PA and Rosie M. Gracey of Buffalo, NY, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one sister, Betty Donahue, RD, Waterfall, PA. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, two brothers, John Gracey and Bob Gracey and two sisters, Phyllis Robinson and Doris Howard.

âMr. Gracey had attended the Bethel Church of God, New Grenada, PA. He was a member of McConnellsburg American Legion #561, McConnellsburg, PA, a 50 year member of Madden-Wennick Post #518, American Legion, Rockhill Furnace, PA,  Everett Lodge #524, F. & A. M., Everett, PA, Harrisburg Consistory and Jaffa Shrine, Altoona, PA.

âHe retired in 1988 from Exxon Mobil, East Freedom, PA,  after 25 years service.

âMr. Gracey was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U, S. Army.

âHe enjoyed spending his winters in Florida camping and was an avid golfer.

âA funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 21, 2015 at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt St., Hustontown, PA with Pastor Richard Fluke, II, officiating. Interment will be made at Center Cemetery, RD, Waterfall, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.
