Pauline R. Goshorn

Pauline R. Goshorn, 90, of Richvale Road, Blairs Mills, PA, died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at her home.

Born September 28, 1923 at Altoona, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles & Catherine (Hicks) James. she was married to Dale S. Goshorn on January 17, 1948 at Williamsburg, PA. Mr. Goshorn preceded in death on November 12, 2003.

Surviving are three children, Kenneth D. Goshorn and his wife Mary Alice of Greencastle, PA, Karen E. Goshorn and Lila J. Goshorn both of Richvale Road, Blairs Mills, PA, three grandchildren, Candace Romberger, Jennifer Jones and Jonathan Goshorn, seven great grandchildren and three siblings, Lois Booher of RD, Mt. Union, PA, Charles James of McConnells, SC and Nancy Burkett of Elizabethtown, PA. Two sisters, Jean Aurant and Dorothy McWorter and one brother, Clarence James, preceded in death.
Mrs. Goshorn was a member of the Richvale United Methodist Church, RD, Blairs Mills, PA. She was also a member of Mt. Union Chapter #280, Order of the Eastern Star and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Shade Gap Area Volunteer Fire Co.

During her life she was a homemaker.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved listening to hymns, cooking and taking care of her family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. Vicki Jordan officiating. Interment will be made at Shade Valley Cemetery, RD, Blairs Mills, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
