Nellie M. Gerringer

Nellie M. Gerringer, 72, of Maddensville Pike, Orbisonia, PA, died at 5:44 PM, Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the home of her daughter, June Romig of Lewistown, PA.

​Born January 30, 1943 in Cromwell Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late Isaac & Gaynelle (Blake) Varner. She was married to Merrill Gerringer on June 16, 1960. Mr. Gerringer survives at their home.

​Also surviving are four children, June Romig and husband Douglas and Wanda Stewart, all of Lewistown, PA, Susan Norris and Junior Gerringer, both of Orbisonia, PA, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one brother, Isaac Varner of RD, Three Springs, PA. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Gerringer, four brothers and four sisters.

​Mrs. Gerringer was last employed by Empire Kosher, Inc., at Mt. Union, PA and Mifflintown, PA. Prior to that, she was employed at various local sewing factories.​A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. Ed Seeley officiating. Interment will be made at Shope Cemetery, Blacklog Valley Road, Orbisonia, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

​
