Sonia D. Gatzke

Sonia D. Gatzke, 93 of Milford, PA passed away August 21, 2016 at the Alliance Adult Living, Westfall Twp., PA. She was a retired Registered Nurse for St. Francis Hospital, Port Jervis, NY, owned and operated Corner Antiques, Milford, PA. Sonia was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army serving in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters during WWII. She was a member and past Commander of the Mt. Laurel VFW Post #8612, Milford, PA.

The daughter of the late Edward and Gisele Dunn she was born March 27, 1923 in Marlborough, MA. She was married to Allen Gatzke.

Survivors include her husband; son-in-law Donald Board of Dingmans Ferry, PA and her granddaughter Jessi Znosko of Farmville, VA. She was predeceased by her daughter Gisele Board in 2005.

Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on Friday August 26, 2016 from 2 to 4 PM. Funeral series will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 4 PM with Rev. Paul Mullen officiating.

Final interment will take place at the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA private at the convenience of the family.
