Shelby Lauretta Foster, 78, Wooden Bridge Road, Three Springs, PA died at
 9:30 AM, Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Long Term Care Unit of Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.

Born May 13, 1937 at Taylor Township, Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd J. and Pearl D. (Ott) Miller.  She was married to Thomas G. Foster on May 6, 1957.  Mr. Foster survives at home.

One son Jeffrey Foster and wife Michele survive of Wooden Bridge Road, Harrisonville, PA along with two grandchildren Grant and Gracie Foster.

Two sisters survive, LaGretta Runk and Beverly Cutshall, both of Three Springs, PA.  A sister, Ruby C. Swope is deceased.  

Mrs. Foster had attended the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Nazarene, Harrisonville, PA.

She was a 1956 graduate of Hustontown High School.

In earlier years, Mrs. Foster worked at the Stanley Company, Chambersburg, PA and later for 10 years at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at the State Tax Equalization Board at Harrisburg.  In recent years she was a housewife.

She loved her family and was proud of her grandchildren.  She enjoyed canning, cooking and baking and was well known for her home made apple dumplings.  

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt St., Hustontown, PA with Rev. Dan Porterfield officiating.  Interment will be at Mount Tabor Cemetery, Waterfall, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6—8:00 PM on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
