Fix, Frances Obituary

​Frances G. “Boots” Fix, 82, was set free from the horrible disease of dementia when she passed from death unto life on Tuesday, October 20, 2015.

Formerly of Hustontown, PA, she had resided at the Falling Spring Nursing Home, Chambersburg, PA, at the time of her passing.

​She was born September 13, 1933 in Taylor Twp., Fulton Co., PA, to parents, Gerald E. & Ava (Hershey) Fix. She is survived by one sister, Laverne Stinson of Three Springs, PA and eleven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Kenneth E. Fix, Walter L. Fix, William H. Fix, Don C. Fix and one sister, Evelyn Fix Weber.

​She graduated as salutatorian from Hustontown High School in the Class of 1951. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, PA.​She loved playing softball, horses, dogs and cats. Most of all she loved God’s great outdoors.

​A celebration of her life-memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Fairview United Methodist Church, 2288 North Hess Road, Harrisonville, PA with Pastors Jean Swett and Jay Saxe officiating.

​Arrangements are under the direction of the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown, PA.
