June 8, 1957 - October 27, 2011
Christine “Giggles” Espenship, 54, of Milford, PA and formerly of Cheshire, CT passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was known to many as “Chris” and to her family as “Tina”. She worked as a Lancome beauty advisor at Macy’s in Middletown, NY for the past 5 years and in Filene’s Dept. Store in Connecticut where her love of people was evident to anyone who came in contact with her. She had a unique and endearing interest in the details of other's lives, and she filled every room she walked into with her presence and charm. Her beautiful smile and warm spirit were welcome treasures in an often unfriendly world. She never arrived anywhere empty handed and loved nothing more than to share what she had with those around her. In so many ways, Tina possessed the qualities that God has asked of us all.
The sixth and youngest child of the late Christine and Emmanuel Espenship, she was born June 8, 1957 in Lansdale, PA. She was a 1977 graduate of Delaware Valley High School where she earned her nickname “Giggles”. She worked as a waitress at Mt. Haven restaurant.
She is survived by her loving companion of 30 years, Doug Robertson, and her stepson, Doug Jr., as well as her sisters; Bertha Tidridge of Milford, PA, Sonia Lauman of Sauderton, PA, Dolores Irvine of Bushkill, PA, and her brother, Emanuel Espenship of Telford, PA.
She was a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews and a true friend to so many. She rarely went anywhere without running into someone she knew, and she made time to chat with each one. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, friendship and love. We are all a little better for knowing her.
