Nancy Eisenhauer, age 68, died in her home at Twin Lakes, Shohola, Pennsylvania on September 4, 2013. Born in Oradell, New Jersey she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Francis Seddon. She is survived by her loving husband Glyn, her brother Robert and wife Joan of Mount Laurel, New Jersey and brother David and wife Judith of South Conway, New Hampshire.
Nancy was a graduate of East Stroudsburg University and was the recipient of advanced degrees from Montclair State University. She was employed at Indian Hills High School for 33 years, first as a health and physical education instructor and later as a student assistance counselor. During her tenure she also served as the school’s cheerleading advisor, girls’ tennis coach and producer/choreographer of the girls’ annual gym show. Nancy was instrumental in developing model student assistance, peer support and school community programs that brought her Bergen County Counselor of the Year honors.
Since her retirement in 2001, Nancy has pursued her love of antiques through an antiques business at the Old Lumberyard in Milford, Pennsylvania. She has been an active member of the Milford Garden Club and served as corresponding secretary for Milford’s Historic Preservation Trust. She was elected to the presidency of her community association and was a member of the Shohola Lions Club.
During Nancy’s protracted illness with lymphoma, she was humbled by the abundance of loving support she received from family, friends and former colleagues and students. The celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at a date to be determined by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Lymphoma Research Foundation, 115 Broadway, Suite 1301, New York, NY 10006.
