William H. Dunn

William Henry Dunn (Bill/Pop), 91, of Squaw Hollow, Dingmans Ferry, died Friday, Oct 6 at Bon Secours Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.

Bill was born on March 22, 1926 in Philadelphia to the late Archibald and Thelma Ward Dunn. He was a Navy WWII Veteran, a Korea Veteran and continued his service with 14 years in the Air National Guard of PA. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 139 in Milford. He worked as a mechanical engineer at Baldwin, Boeing and ZEKS Industries, all in the Philadelphia area; and in his later years greatly enjoyed being a bus driver for Delaware Valley School District.

Bill is survived by his daughters ("the 4 Dunn Girls"): Cathleen Dunn; Arlene Dunn, her partner Nancy Whalen; Bonnie Oehlmann, her husband Ron Lounsbury; and Connie Maillet, her husband James Maillet. Pop was very proud of his five grandchildren: Dylan Dunn, wife Jeanine; Liberty Story, husband Rich; Brandon Riley, fiancée Stephanie Key; Jamie Dykstra, husband Mike; Kenneth Maillet; and four great-grandchildren.  Bill will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 4 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 16 Delaware Crest, Dingmans Ferry, PA.

Memorial donations may be made to Honor Flight Philadelphia, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Dingmans Ferry or Delaware Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
