Dillon, Madge Obituary

Madge A. Dillon, 80 of Montague, NJ passed away on September 2, 2015 at Newton Hospital, Newton, NJ. She was a retired clerk for the US Postal Service, Hackensack, NJ. Madge grew up in East Paterson, NJ and enjoyed traveling, the ocean and playing cards. She was an avid New York Giants and New York Mets fan and a New Jersey State Marbles Champion in Atlantic City, NJ in 1947.


​The daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Hughart) Murphy, she was born on October 20, 1934 in Jersey City, NJ.


​Survivors include her three sons Robert S. Dillon of Milford, PA, Christopher T. Dillon of Branchburg, NJ and Philip J. Dillon of Milford, PA; two sisters, Diane Nowak and her husband Ken of Florence, NJ and Auntie Ann R. Benedict of Montague, NJ; granddaughter Paige Dillon of MD; three nieces Tara, Erin and Keri. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Murphy.


​Cremation took place at the convenience of the family.
