Steven A. Detwiler

Steven A. Detwiler, 58, of Rockhill Furnace, PA, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, PA.
    
Born March 16, 1960 at Huntingdon, PA, he was a son of the late Freeman & Gladys (Moore) Detwiler.
    
He is survived by three children, Steven Detwiler, Jr of Mt. Union, PA, Nichole Detwiler of Rockhill Furnace, PA and Brandi Detwiler and her fiance Ryan Kuhns of Cassville, PA and Penny Deloe, Kenneth Swanger, Jr and Trevor White, who were reared in Mr. Detwiler’s home for a time. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, six siblings, George Detwiler and wife Donna of Rockhill Furnace, PA, Ruth Seilhamer and husband John of Shirleysburg, PA, David Detwiler of Gilbertsville, PA, Charles Detwiler and wife Karen of Shirleysburg, PA, William Detwiler and wife Maxine of Three Springs, PA and Terry Detwiler of Rockhill Furnace, PA and a number of nieces and nephews. One brother, Michael Detwiler, preceded in death.
    
Mr. Detwiler was a member of the Rockhill Church of the Brethren, Rockhill Furnace, PA. He was a lifetime member of the Orbisonia-Rockhill Volunteer Fire Company and the Orbisonia-Rockhill EMS.
    
He was last employed at Bonney Forge, Inc., Mt. Union PA for 21 years. Prior to that he was employed at JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, PA for 18 years and the former U. S. Sports, Huntingdon, PA for 12 years.
    
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending the Path Valley Speedway every Friday night.
    
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Rockhill Church of the Brethren, 385 Valley St., Rockhill Furnace, PA. Interment will be made at the I. O. O. F. Memorial Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace, PA.
