Patrick Joseph “Pat” Dean, 69, of Finksburg died Monday, December 2, 2013 at his home.

Born September 24, 1944, in St. Albans, NY, he was the son of the late Bernard and Mary (Riley) Dean. He was the husband of Elaine (Pollastro) Dean, his wife of 44 years.

He was retired from Lucent Technologies as an accountant.
He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1963-1969 and was a member of the Marine Corps League of Carroll County. He was also a member of St. John Catholic Church.

He enjoyed golf, bowling, reading and spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons Raymond P. and wife Theresa Dean of Forest Hill and Brian J. Dean of Baltimore; brother Charles Dean of Freeport, NY; Grandchildren Olivia, Ethan and Ryan Dean and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by 7 brothers.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster, where a Marine Corps League Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 12:30 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with Father John Lesnick as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Garrison Forest, Owings Mills.
