Barbara Ann DeJansen

Barbara Ann “Babs” DeJansen,72, of Greentown, PA passed away at home on Monday, January 8, 2018. Barbara worked as a retail saleswoman in a few different department stores and a caregiver for Kelly’s Home for Adults, Narrowsburg, NY.

Babs was a warmhearted person and will be remembered for her love of animals and sense of humor.  She will always be loved and missed beyond words.

The daughter of the late George Melvin and Elizabeth (Coffey) Webb, Barbara was born on March 22, 1945 in Baltimore, MD. Her first marriage was to Gerald R. Demarest for eleven years who preceded her in death on November 23, 1998. Her second marriage was to Robert A. “Bob” DeJansen for nineteen years who preceded her in death on January 2, 1997.

Babs enjoyed spending time fishing with Bob and bird watching.

She leaves behind her daughter, Deborah O’Brien and husband Chris of Bushkill, PA; sisters, Eileen Kelly and husband George, of Tamiment, PA and Nancy Webb of Hackettstown, NJ; grandson, Haydn P. Watkins of Brodheadsville, PA; step-daughter, Diane Stoilkov; step-granddaughter, Robin Stoilkov, WY; sister-in-law, Joyce Demarest, Totowa, NJ; brother-in-law, Lester Demarest and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brother-in-laws, Harold Anacker, and George Demarest.

As per her wishes, Babs was cremated at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford Twp., PA 18337. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
