Gary L. Carl, 78, of Polecat Hollow Road, Huntingdon, PA, died Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at his home.

Born January 16, 1940 at Mt. Union, PA, he was a son of the late Dyson & Larue (Taylor) Carl. He was united in marriage to the former Betty E. Parks on May 29, 1962. Mrs. Carl preceded in death on March 24, 2016.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas Scott Carl of Phoenix, AZ and Mark Charles Carl of Franklin, KY. He is also survived by his best friends and caregivers, Harold and Iva Miller of Huntingdon, PA and Frank and Mary Miller of McVeytown, PA. One sister, Lola Bingle, preceded in death.

 Mr. Carl was a member of the Mill Creek United Methodist Church.  He retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglass, having worked at Huntingdon and Mt. Union. At age 78 he went to work for Helpmates, Huntingdon, PA, which he enjoyed very much.

He had been an avid golfer playing at the Mt. Union American Legion Country Club. Over the years he enjoyed camping with his family.

 Mr. Carl was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
