Douglas Allan Card, 65, of Milford, PA passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Newton Memorial Hospital, Newton, NJ. He was a retired automotive teacher of 32 years at Sussex County Technical School in Sparta, NJ. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

The son of the late John and Florence (DeGroat) Card, he was born September 18, 1946 in Sussex, NJ. He was married to Marie (Palush) Card.

Survivors include his wife; son Andrew of Franklin, NJ; daughter Sarah Blank and her husband Dan of Madison, NJ; six brothers Wayne, Willis, John, Norman, Donald and Darrell Card; four sisters Diana Friebely, Brenda Streva, Nancy Card, and Karen Salerno; grandson Owen Blank and 22 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Beemerville Presbyterian Church, Wantage, NJ (map/directions) on Tuesday August 7th at 1pm with Reverend Dr. Charles A. Jenkins officiating.

Burial will follow at the Beemerville Cemetery, Wantage, NJ with military honors. A gathering will be held at the Beemerville Firehouse immediately afterwards.
