Nanette Burt

Nanette Burt was born April 28, 1951 in Washington, DC to the late John H and Nettie Burt. She was granted her angel wings on September 25, 2019 at the Washington Hospital Center.

Nanette attended the public schools of the District of Columbia and graduated from Cardoza Senior High School. She enjoyed oldies but goodies music and spending quality time with her friends and family. She loved to hand dance and hang out with the oldies but goodies crowd.

On November 25, 1967 Nanette gave birth to her son, Andre F. Burt. They had a special mother and son relationship.

Nanette devoted much of her time as a caregiver and sales person. She loved to look after her family and take care of her mother.

Nanette was preceded in death by her mother, Nettie Burt, her father, John H, Burt, loving brother John H. Burt, Jr. She leaves to cherish in her memory, her son, Andre Burt, sisters Rita Diane Burt Goodall, Madeline Burt, brothers Emery L. Burt, Eric J. Burt, two grandchildren Amadi M. Burt, Ahmad S. Wilson, and a loving niece Torita Burt and a host of relatives and friends.
