Ida Bueki, 82 of Milford, PA passed away Friday March 18, 2011 at home, surrounded by her family.
The daughter of the late Edward and Maria (Brown) Jaeger she was born May 27, 1928 in Kudritz, Yugoslavia. She was married to the late Philip Bueki in 1949 in Austria and together they came to the United States in 1952 and settled in Union, NJ. She was Head Foreman of Eagle Novelty in Union, NJ and later worked for Sparkomatic, Milford, PA. Mr. and Mrs. Bueki built one of the first houses in Sunrise Lake in 1967 and relocated permanently to Sunrise Lake in 1988.
She loved nature, birds, gardening, the local hardware stores and her family, especially her granddaughters. Ida took great pride in her stone walls and would show anyone how it’s done. She was an outstanding cook and baker whose recipes will be carried on by family. Loved and admired by many, she was considered a second mother to all who knew her.
Survivors include her son Philip Bueki, his wife Kristen Ann Bueki, of Bushkill, PA, her daughter Madeline Bednar of Dingmans Ferry, PA and granddaughters Eva L. Bednar and Kristen M. Bueki.
Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on Sunday March 20, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
Burial will take place in Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township, PA privately at the convenience of the family.
