Douglas L. Brumbaugh

Douglas L. “Doug” Brumbaugh, 53, Hares Valley Road, Mapleton Depot, PA, died unexpectedly of natural causes while working in Springfield Township, Huntingdon County, Tuesday, February 21, 2017.

Born July 30, 1963 at Huntingdon, he was the son of Carma (Querry) Brumbaugh, Mapleton Depot, and the late Chester E. Brumbaugh.  He was united in marriage to Sharon (Smith) Brumbaugh on June 23, 1985 at Mill Creek, PA. She survives at their home.

Mr. Brumbaugh is survived by three children: Megan Thompson and husband Richard of Orbisonia and Eric Brumbaugh and Shannon Brumbaugh, both at home.  He is also survived by two grandchildren, Bailey and Sage Thompson.

A sister and two brothers also survive.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Luden and Hazel Querry and paternal grandparents Alvin and Lorna Brumbaugh.

Mr. Brumbaugh worked as a self-employed logger and was the owner of D.B. Logging and Firewood.  He loved taking numerous big game hunting trips to explore the great outdoors.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday February 25, 2017 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary Street, Cassville, PA with Mr. Jonathan Whitsel officiating.  Interment will be at Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery, RD, Mapleton Depot, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 - 9:00 PM on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
