Ralph L. Balderson

Ralph Lee Balderson, Sr., 61, Chilcote Road, Huntingdon, PA died Saturday morning, April 30, 2016 at J. C. Blair Hospital, Huntingdon, PA.

Born July 10, 1954 at Washington, DC, he was the son of Raymond Henry Balderson, Jr. and Barbara Ann (Dixon) Balderson.  His father is deceased and his mother Barbara Ann McPeek survives of Huntingdon.

He is survived by a daughter Rosanne Morningstar and fiancé Jason, Hollidaysburg, PA and a son Ralph L. Balderson, Jr., Huntingdon.  A daughter Lisa Marie Balderson preceded in death.

There are seven grandchildren: Mariah, Trent, Ryan, Izabella, Jackson, Gabriel and Gavin.

Two brothers and a sister survive: Keith Balderson, Gaithersburg, MD; Dennis Balderson, Fargo, ND; and Paula Halbritter, Huntingdon.

Mr. Balderson had attended the Calvin United Methodist Church.

He had worked as a truck driver, security officer and previously owned a landscaping service.  He was a member of the NRA, National Hunting Association and the Trough Creek Sportsmen Association.  

A family man, Mr. Balderson loved and adored his children and grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary Street, Cassville, PA with Rev. Donald Henderson officiating. Interment will be at Wright Cemetery, Calvin, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6—8:00 PM on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
