Ivean M. Aldrich

Ivean M. Aldrich, age 98, formerly of Iowa City, IA passed away at the Twin Cedars Assisted Living Facility, Shohola, PA on April 19, 2013, where she had lived for the past four years.
Ivean was born in 1915 to Clarence and Mamie Culley in Murphysboro, IL. She was the oldest of four daughters.
She graduated from Nurses training in 1937 and worked as a surgical nurse. In 1939 she married Charles B. Aldrich, a career man in the U.S. Army. They had one daughter, Patricia. The family lived in many places in the U.S and Japan.
Upon the death of her husband Lt. Col. Aldrich in 1964, Ivean moved to Iowa City, IA. She became a house mother for the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at the University of Iowa for the next 17 years. Upon her retirement she continued to live in Iowa City where she had many friends and interest.
In 2009 she moved to Pennsylvania to be near her family. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Albright of Dingmans Ferry and New York City, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and her youngest sister.
The family will be receiving friends at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St. Milford, PA (map/directions) on April 27, 2013 from 11:30 to 12 PM.
A memorial service will be held at Stroyan Funeral Home on April 27, 2013 at 12PM.
