Constantino G. “Tony” Albano passed away peacefully on August 1, 2013 after bravely fighting cancer for 13 years.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a date to be announced.
Tony was born July 27, 1942 in Kansas City, MO, the son of the late Constantino G. Albano, Sr. and Jeannie Tull Albano. He retired from General Ridge Golf Course (Prince William Park Authority), where he worked for 16 years. Previous to that he owned and operated Tony’s Service Center (Amoco Service Center and Blimpie sub shop) in Leesburg. His sons assisted with the business. He was a member of the Virginia Draft Horse and Mule Association and the Toro Lawn Equipment Association. Tony deeply loved his family, friends, and many pets. His favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, camping, nature hikes, watching the clouds, picnics at the river with family and friends, cars, antique boat motors, and watching John Wayne movies. He truly loved working with animals, especially showing, training, and working with his hunting dogs and mules.
He is survived by his loving wife Diana Glover Albano of Front Royal; daughter Christine Ryan and husband Mark of Frederick, MD; two sons Colonel Rod Albano (U.S. Army) and wife Valerie of El Paso, TX and Richard Callis and wife Debra of Berryville, VA; sister Dolores Albano of Frederick, MD; and six grandsons Branden Ryan, Lt. Alex Ryan, JT Albano, John Albano, Matthew Callis and Tyler Callis. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother John Albano.
